An aura pack gives your character a style of its own. While you chant a skill, a casting effect rises around you: two rune circles turning on the ground, the style's own structure, its particles, and an object hovering over your head that bursts when the skill is released. The same pack also re-colours the glow your armor earns (see Armor Rank) — it never adds a glow your gear has not earned. Everyone near you sees your style.
Without a pack you cast in the Classic style: a rune cage of pillars and arcs with a floating rune sigil, coloured by the skill's element.

- Use the item from your bag to wear the style. A 7-day pack runs out back to the permanent pack you own, or to Classic.
- The packs are on the Supplies tab of the Item Mall, after the chat bubbles.
Effects settings#
The game's Settings window decides how much of this you see:
- Enhanced effects — Off, Equipment only, Skills only or All (the default). The casting styles are part of the skills layer and the richer armor glows part of the equipment layer; the extra riding effects show with any setting but Off.
- Map details — Off, Low or High: reflective water, the shadows of passing clouds, trees and grass swaying in the wind, and grass on the ground.
The casting effects are kept soft on purpose, so they do not turn into a white blur on bright ground.
